Card payments only

I have visited a couple of shops and a garden centre that only take card payment, not cash. Now the government have not banned the use of cash, so why do some shops still only take card payments when they still pass over a receipt and handle all the merchandise that you have picked up?

Surely common sense needs to be used, as in wearing gloves and washing hands regularly.

Also a note to the council, please open up all public toilets as when the public are out they can use the amenities that they pay for in their council tax. I also have an autistic son who needs to use them and we can go to the seafront and other destinations. Yes, we all wash our hands and social distance.
