JOHN VIVIAN
from Geoffrey Brooking and Richard Thomson and the things said about me, but sadly only Mr Thomson saw the point I was making, namely that all people matter.
But Mr Brooking on the other hand saw it in a different light. I read the local newspapers and also several national dailies and watch the TV news from both BBC and ITV.
From this information, I heard Monsieur Barnier warning us that we are in grave danger of a No Deal if we did not get a move on.
Was this anti-British? A threat?
But not from what I saw and heard. We are in a fair bit of trouble at the moment with the number of firms closing because of Covid-19.
The chaos from number 10 is not helping.
If we are not careful, No Deal will happen leading us to further economic problems that I hope does not happen. Mr Brooking suggested that I called all leave voters racist. This was not what I said in my letter. I know quite a few who hold similar views, as seen recently with the migrant crisis from articles and letters in the media.
Then sadly Mr Brooking suggests that I am calling all Christians racist. I said nothing of the kind.
I am a Christian and a follower of St Francis of Assisi but not a Calvinist.
I feel sorry for your bitterness Mr Brooking and pray that you will learn to love your neighbour and fellow Christians.
I work with others who do what Jesus wants all of us to do which is to love and respect our neighbours irrespective of colour and creed, including the Europeans!
