The teenager bagged 5-17 off eight overs as Hayling were rushout for 107 en route to a five-wicket defeat at Hayling Park.

Only Craig Ellis (18) reached double figures among Hayling’s first seven batsmen, before No 8 Roland (28) and No 9 Zach Gillam (19) top scored.

Gerry Archer junior and Russell Weller (35) made a confident start in reply, before five wickets fell in quick succession.

Jacob Patton and Phil Royle made just seven apiece while Ryan Gander and Alvin Sajijohn were out for ducks.

Completing a fine day, Royle (3 not out) was at the crease with Archer (50 not out) when the winning runs were scored.

Burridge 3rds were agonisingly close to inflicting defeat on Regional L table-toppers Trojans 2nds.

The bowled the leaders out for

123 at Burridge Rec, but could only manage 119 themselves.

Burridge’s replay began badly when opener Simon Beavis and No 3 Tom Perry were both dismissed without scoring.
