M Coghlan – adapting to the ‘new normal’

-

As we come out of such a difficult time for all, not only those who have suffered with the virus but those who have lost people either with Covid or during the pandemic, change will inevitably come.

Some of these are welcome: the care within communities for each other – wearing masks to protect others, dropping shopping for those who are vulnerable or shielding.

We all know how upsetting it has been with reduced numbers attending funerals, no singing, no hugging those around us, no meeting afterwards for a ‘get-together’ to share precious memories.

As lockdown eases and things get back to a ‘new normal’ you will all be reflecting on what you really pictured for your loved one - lots of people coming to say farewell, celebrating that special life, sharing those special memories.

And, although fantastic live streaming facilities were offered at a discount price, it is just not the same as being there.

The building renovations at our Gosport branch in Forton Road are nearing the end – somewhat delayed with lockdown – and we look forward to being able to offer our new Ceremony Room to hold services in. See our facebook page for pictures of the changes.

We will eventually be able seat up to 45, although at present with distancing, only 15. We will be providing a screen for Visual Tributes and Music Facilities.

We will, in due course, hold an Open Day so that the public can come and view what is on offer – hopefully in Spring of 2021, but if you wish to see the facilities before then, do not hesitate to phone us and we’d love to invite small ‘bubbles’ to look around.
