Police assault teen charges

A TEENAGE boy has been charged with obstructin­g and assaulting police after officers went to arrest him for criminal damage.

Police were in Prince of Wales Road, Gosport, at 12.45pm on October 1 when they went to arrest the boy for damage done in August.

But he was ‘obstructiv­e’ and two officers were assaulted.

A 52-year-old man then emerged from a property and assaulted a police officer, a Hampshire police spokeswoma­n said.

She said: ‘(The boy) has been charged with criminal damage from August 6, and two counts of assaulting a police officer.’

She added: (The man) has been charged with assaulting an officer and obstructin­g police.’
