There’s nothing more typically British than a good portion of fish and chips and now more than ever people need the comfort of a chippy to give the family a hearty meal.

Many chip shops have stayed open during these testing times to help households get a nutritious, affordable dinner and now’s your chance to reward them by voting in our chippy of the year competition.

Now we want you to tell us which chippy gets your vote.

It could be because of the freshly-cooked food, traditional style dishes, select and exclusive dishes you can find in only the place you use.

Perhaps you love the friendly staff, the traditional style or the way your fish is fried.

We have drawn up a shortlist of chip shops and restaurants which will compete for the title of

Chip Shop of the Year 2020.

Entries will be printed in this paper until Saturday, October 17 so you can vote for your favourite. To vote for the Chip shop you think should be crowned our champion of 2020,simply return the coupon on this page to us, stating the voting number, full name and address of the chip shop or restaurant you wish to vote for.

Photocopied or defaced coupons will not be accepted.

Coupons received after the closing date will also not be accepted.

Closing date for votes is 10am, Friday, October 23.
