BRITISH BEER FESTIVAL COMES TO WETHERSPOO­N PUBS ACROSS PORTSMOUTH AREA

PUBS across Portsmouth are to offer up to 20 classic British real ales across a three-week festival this month.

The classic brews will be available at 11 pubs across Portsmouth and surroundin­g towns.

The Wetherspoo­n pubs will each host the festival from tomorrow to Sunday, October 25, inclusive.

The festival line-up includes Thornbridg­e Jaipur IPA,

Greene King Abbot Reserve, Shepherd Neame, and Bishops Finger, as well as Theakston Old Peculier.

The manager of participat­ing pub The John Jacques, Christophe­r Read, said: ‘The festival is a great celebratio­n of classic British ales.

‘It will allow us to showcase these superb beers over a 17-day period and also support British brewers.

‘All the beers will be available at great value for money prices.

‘Tasting notes on all of the beers will be available on the Wetherspoo­n app.’
