A ROUND-UP of some of the recent cases before Portsmouth magistrates.
■ Mark Ormston, 54, of Clive Road, Fratton, admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress.
Magistrates imposed a sixmonth conditional discharge with a £22 victim surcharge.
He must pay £50 prosecution costs.
■ Aaron Price, 44, of Applewood Grove, Widley, admitted assault by beating on October 14 last year in Lambert Close.
Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order with 25 days' rehabilitation activities.
Price must pay £461 with a £90 victim surcharge and £185 costs.
■ Donna Close, 38, of Walpole Park, Gosport, admitted having diamorphine, a class A drug, in Gosport on February 5.
Close also admitted having cocaine on the same day.
Magistrates imposed a six-month conditional discharge.
She must pay a £22 victim surcharge.
■ Desmond Clarke, 58, of Highland Road, Southsea, admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour on June 4 last year. He also admitted a homophobic public order offence causing fear of violence on December 3 in 2018 in Wickham.
He admitted flouting a suspended sentence for burglary. Magistrates imposed a two-year community order with 15 days' rehabilitation activities.
He was banned from Co-op in Highland Road for a year, including the car park. He was fined £100 for flouting the suspended term. He must pay £200 compensation after being found guilty of assault by beating on February 22 last year in Cosham.
Clarke also admitted causing fear of violence on June 20 last year in Portsmouth, and assault by beating on July 22 last year in Southsea. He must pay £100 compensation, a £90 surcharge and £350 costs.
■ Philip Potter, 39, of Broom Square, Milton, admitted flouting community order requirements and was fined £50.
■ Paige Blackstock, 23, of Lees Lane, Gosport, admitted drink-driving in Rambler Driver, Gosport on July 25 last year.
Magistrates fined her £300 with a £34 surcharge.
Magistrates banned her from driving for 36 months.
A test revealed she had 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
■ Edward Mitchell, 41, of Cromer Road, Paulsgrove, admitted cannabis drug-driving on March 3 in London Road, Portsmouth.
Mitchell was fined £120 with a £32 surcharge.
He was banned from driving for a year.
