A ROUND-UP of some of the recent cases before Portsmouth magistrates.

John Gordon, 57, of Milton Road, Milton, admitted damaging a door at Hope House on September 21 last year. He admitted two charges of causing raciallyaggravated harassment, alarm or distress on the same day. He was fined £400 with £200 compensation to pay.

Mohsen Nazari, 25, of Sackville Road, Worthing, West Sussex, admitted driving in Southampton Road, Portsmouth, while unfit through drugs on July 24 last year. Magistrates fined him £500 with a £50 surcharge and £150 costs. He was banned from driving for a year.

Ben Gibbs, 30, of Dunsbury Way, Leigh Park, admitted drink-driving in Bath Road, Emsworth, on April 11. A breath test revealed he had 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35. Magistrates banned him for two years.

They imposed a 12-month community order with 40 hours' unpaid work.

He must pay a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.

Tyler Heath, 20, of Ashurst Road, Cosham, admitted cannabis drug-driving in Toronto Road, North End, Portsmouth, on February 5.

Magistrates imposed a sixmonth conditional discharge. He must pay a £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He was banned from driving for 12 months.

Craig Raymond, 26, of Laburnum Grove, Copnor, admitted drink-driving in Cambridge Road on August 4. A test revealed he had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Magistrates fined him £260 with a £34 surcharge and £85 costs. He was banned for 12 months.

Jack Chandler, 20, of

Quintrel Avenue, Fareham, admitted ketamine drugdriving in Fratton Road, Portsmouth, on February 28. He also admitted possession of ketamine, a class B drug, on the same day. Magistrates banned him for six months with a 12-month conditional discharge. He must pay a £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Jack Andrade, 18, of

Queens Crescent, Horndean, admitted two charges of drug-driving in Milton Road, Waterlooville. These were cocaine and Benzoylecgonine, a cocaine breakdown byproduct. Magistrates imposed a six-month conditional discharge. He was banned for 12 months with a £21 surcharge and £85 costs to pay.

Jamine Emmett, 22, of Gudge Heath Lane, Fareham, admitted drug-driving in Wickham Road, Fareham, on September 7. Magistrates fined him £215 with a 12-month ban. He must pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

A breath test revealed he had 41 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
