A ROUND-UP of some of the recent cases before Portsmouth magistrate­s.

John Gordon, 57, of Milton Road, Milton, admitted damaging a door at Hope House on September 21 last year. He admitted two charges of causing raciallyag­gravated harassment, alarm or distress on the same day. He was fined £400 with £200 compensati­on to pay.

Mohsen Nazari, 25, of Sackville Road, Worthing, West Sussex, admitted driving in Southampto­n Road, Portsmouth, while unfit through drugs on July 24 last year. Magistrate­s fined him £500 with a £50 surcharge and £150 costs. He was banned from driving for a year.

Ben Gibbs, 30, of Dunsbury Way, Leigh Park, admitted drink-driving in Bath Road, Emsworth, on April 11. A breath test revealed he had 97 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath. The limit is 35. Magistrate­s banned him for two years.

They imposed a 12-month community order with 40 hours' unpaid work.

He must pay a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.

Tyler Heath, 20, of Ashurst Road, Cosham, admitted cannabis drug-driving in Toronto Road, North End, Portsmouth, on February 5.

Magistrate­s imposed a sixmonth conditiona­l discharge. He must pay a £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He was banned from driving for 12 months.

Craig Raymond, 26, of Laburnum Grove, Copnor, admitted drink-driving in Cambridge Road on August 4. A test revealed he had 40 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath. Magistrate­s fined him £260 with a £34 surcharge and £85 costs. He was banned for 12 months.

Jack Chandler, 20, of

Quintrel Avenue, Fareham, admitted ketamine drugdrivin­g in Fratton Road, Portsmouth, on February 28. He also admitted possession of ketamine, a class B drug, on the same day. Magistrate­s banned him for six months with a 12-month conditiona­l discharge. He must pay a £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Jack Andrade, 18, of

Queens Crescent, Horndean, admitted two charges of drug-driving in Milton Road, Waterloovi­lle. These were cocaine and Benzoylecg­onine, a cocaine breakdown byproduct. Magistrate­s imposed a six-month conditiona­l discharge. He was banned for 12 months with a £21 surcharge and £85 costs to pay.

Jamine Emmett, 22, of Gudge Heath Lane, Fareham, admitted drug-driving in Wickham Road, Fareham, on September 7. Magistrate­s fined him £215 with a 12-month ban. He must pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

A breath test revealed he had 41 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath.
