Shameful showing

I am hugely disappointed with the Gosport Labour party.

I live in Peel Common, a seat that was once held by Labour, we did not have a candidate. I did see that there were Labour candidates in Lee-on-the-Solent and Alverstoke which Labour have never held.

Whoever was responsible for those decisions clearly has no political understanding at all, and hopefully will resign from whatever office they hold.

In addition, we had Labour candidates who we had never heard of, no campaigning, not a single leaflet; in wards and a county seat that were held by Labour not long ago.

A few years ago we had a Labour Party in Gosport who campaigned all the time, councillors who we saw and all knew. Why can they not come back and show that the party cares and has halfdecent people to be candidates?

If Labour cannot be bothered in Bridgemary and Peel Common, then we will not be bothered for them.

They disenfranchised us in Peel Common, and could not even be bothered to try in Bridgemary.

Maybe if they put as much effort into elections as they do for food banks we may have some Labour success, at the moment they do not deserve any success in Gosport.

Therefore, thanks Gosport Labour party for leaving us with Tory councillors in a seat which had offered so much loyalty to Labour in the past.
