Day nursery donation makes play much safer

-

A HAVANT based flooring retailer has donated £500 worth of artificial grass to a nursery which has remained opened throughout the pandemic.

Flooring Superstore in Havant made the donation via its sister brand Grass Direct to Blossom Childcare Nature Nursery.

Steve Crewe, the father of one of the staff at the nursery in Sandford, runs his own building maintenance service.

He knew the nursery, which opened in October 2020, was keen to revamp its outdoor facilities but cautious about spending money during the pandemic.

It wanted to install artificial grass to make it safer for the children when playing outside.

However, when Flooring Superstore heard about the project, it agreed to donate grass for the project. Steve, along with landscape gardener Michael Pidgeon, have all given their time free of charge, and the grass has now been fitted and is being enjoyed by the children.
