Community pantries available in borough

-

THREE community pantries have opened across the borough of Fareham to help people access affordable food.

Registration to a community pantry allows residents to get groceries and provisions once a week at a fraction of the cost.

The recommended donation is £5 per visit and customers will then receive a minimum of £15 worth of food, including fresh and frozen items, toiletries and household items.

One venue is Waypoint Community Hub, at 255 Hunts Pond Road in Titchfield Common. Visit waypointchurch.org.uk/waypoint-hub for more or phone 01489 579669.

Woodsy’s Pantry, at 2 New Parade, 28 West Street, Portchester is another of the locations. Visit portchesterca. org.uk/the-hub or phone (023) 9221 0048.

Alternatively, those in central Fareham can visit the service at Hampshire Food Revolution Community Pantry in Henry Cort Drive. Visit facebook.com/foodrevolutionCIC for more.
