Best resources and strong sense of community

-

The aim of Bourne Community College is to advance the education of all students by providing the best resources and facilities.

We have a distinct advantage as a successful school offering only 180 student places in each year group, which leads to a strong sense of community and allows us to cater for each of our students as individuals.

Our inspirational team of staff work hard to ensurethat all our students make outstanding progress, academically and personally, to build on their selfconfidence and self-belief.

We want them to mature into responsible, confident young citizens, equipped to thrive and contribute to the world beyond our classrooms.

We have recently been reaccredited our Gold Rights Respecting School status by UNICEF UK.

This is the highest accolade given to schools that demonstrate a deep commitment to promoting and realising children’s rights at all levels of school life, so we are particularly proud of this achievement.

Our curriculum is varied with many learning opportunities both in and outside of the classroom, ensuring all areas of school life are fully embraced by every student.

Our most recent new-build ensures we can deliver an innovative Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) programme to our students and our primary locality too, in a new dedicated STEM Centre built last year to support our expansion as a school.

‘Strength in the STEM subjects is a fundamental foundation that will support our communities and our economy.

‘We congratulate Bourne Community College for its commitment to the development of the resources necessary to support education in the STEM subjects, ‘ said

Alan Stannah MBE, Joint Chairman of the Stannah Group of Companies

Head teacher Yvonne Watkins added: ‘We are very proud of our students and their successes and welcome visits so you can see for yourself what a unique school we really are.’
