Extinction rebellion

-

I know not the people who wrote about the ‘100 jobs at risk as Portsmouth pension centre is to be closed by

DWP’ because the letter was granted anonymity (rightly so).

It appears short-sighted that when life is becoming so much more complicated for older people (the very people needing help with financial matters) that centres where one can go to and talk to another human being are becoming EXTINCT.

This is not funny.

Every day, I speak with people, who all have stories about how difficult it is to do anything today, because one is expected to do everything 'online’. Not everyone wants to get ‘online’ or has one!

I know older people seriously anxious they cannot easily access the help they need to continue living their lives comfortably. They feel, more and more, they’re needing to turn to friends or family to help them through.

This is not us looking after our older people, or looking after people who are vulnerable for whatever reason.

When one has a real problem, NOTHING BUT NOTHING replaces a face-to-face conversation. No one wants interminable cheap music and messages down a phone line that isn’t being answered when one is anxious and in trouble; this situation is becoming crazier by the day and I wonder where it’s all gong to end?
