Faces of ‘Most Wanted’ criminals featured on van parked by station
Suspects behind various offences
THIEVES and burglars are among the most wanted criminals in Portsmouth and Hampshire.
Crimestoppers are bringing a van plastered with their faces to our city this week as they attempt to bring the law-breakers to justice.
It arrived at Portsmouth and Southsea station today at 7.30am and will stay until 10.30am.
The people are wanted for a variety of offences including assault, harassment and burglary which have taken place in IOW and Hampshire.
Crimestoppers launched the UK's Most Wanted in 2005 and it has been highly successful, with over 4,300 arrests to date.
Emily van der Lely, Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers, said: ‘While Hampshire and Isle of Wright is a comparatively safe county, there are people at large who are wanted by law enforcement.
‘The success of our Most Wanted campaign is down to the public and their willingness to help protect those they love and the communities they care about. I encourage everyone to check the digital advan screens and our website, to let us know immediately if you have information, no matter how small, on any of the wanted individuals.’
Donna Jones, Hampshire and IoW Police and Crime Commissioner, added: ‘I am pleased to support the Crimestoppers Hampshire and Isle of Wight ‘Most
Wanted’ campaign.
‘By sharing the identity of the most wanted people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, we are encouraging people to pass on any information to help locate these individuals.’
The 12 wanted criminals are Ashley Green who is wanted for absconding from prison. The crime happened in Portsmouth.
Ernie Hider is wanted in connection with a theft from a vehicle. The crime happened in Portsmouth.
Samuel Woodford is wanted in connection with an assault. The crime was committed in Newport on the Isle of Wight.
Matthew Shipman is wanted in connection with a burglary. The crime was committed in Freshwater.
David Koszkowski is wanted in connection with a burglary. The crime took place in Winchester.
Daniel Lewis is wanted in connection with a burglary. The crime was committed in Petersfield
Krzystof Laga is wanted in connection with a burglary. The crime happened in the New Forest.
Maria Butcher is wanted in connection with a burglary. The crime happened in Southampton
Lewis Holmes is wanted in connection with a burglary. The crime happened in Southampton.
John Loveridge is wanted for absconding from prison. The crime happened in Hayling Island
Pierre Neufville is wanted in connection with an assault. The crime happened in Southampton.
Nathan Taylor is wanted in connection with a burglary.
