Podcasts to help maternal health

SOUTHERN Health has launched new bite size podcasts to raise awareness of maternal mental health.

For Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week the theme is ‘The Power of Connection’.

The podcasts are honest conversations with clinical psychologists, midwives, nursery nurses and mum’s with lived experience of trauma before, during and after birth.

Dr Donna Rutherford, of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust said: ‘Becoming a parent is a big life event. It is so important to talk about this, so people don’t feel like they are struggling alone.’
