Chip shop charity day raises £124

A FUNDRAISING event organised by a fish and chip shop has raised more than a hundred pounds for charity.

Whistler’s Fine Fish and Chips in Station Road, Hayling Island and The Grove, Emsworth, recently held a fundraiser for Wave – a charity set up to help young people with their mental health – and for Ivy’s

Fund.

For the fundraiser, the chippy donated a minimum of £1 for every meal sold, and a collection bucket was kept outside for further donations to be given.

Overall, the chippies raised £124, which will be split between the two benefitting organisations.
