WE celebrated World Earth Day this year, and wanted to share what we got up to.
Year 2 recycled old milk cartons to produce decorated bird feeders.
Year 7 and Year 8 children had a brainstorming session on a ‘nature timeline’, discovering what has already occurred environmentally and what could be done to restore the balance.
Pupils also produced nature bracelets using recyclable materials, and planted a young silver birch tree in the school grounds. It’s hoped this will help to prevent rising levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which are a known driver of climate change.
