Big picnic planned for Queen’s jubilee

A COUNTRY park will be hosting a party for the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

Staunton Country Park in Havant is holding a picnic-style event on June 4 and 5, live screening the palace party with music, entertainment and children’s activities.

Leader of Hampshire County Council, Cllr Keith Mans, said: ‘We hope many people will get together with family, friends and their community over the special jubilee bank holiday weekend and come along and enjoy the fun and entertainment planned at Hampshire’s country parks which will include live screening at some sites of the national celebrations taking place.’
