Carer promoted a year after career switch

-

A CARE HOME is celebrating the promotion of a woman who swapped careers after the Covid-19 pandemic shuttered her business.

Mallory Grace, 43, started working for home care firm Home Instead Southampton after her business closed due to Covid-19 restrictions last year.

Mallory has now progressed in her role, being promoted to the new role of field care supervisor.

She said: ‘It is a truly rewarding role that I am so happy I found. Home care is so important, helping older people to continue living independently in their own homes into their later years.’

Greg Harrold, co-owner of the firm, said: ‘Mallory is also a great example of how caring provides real career progression. In less than a year, Mallory has used her passion for care to grow her career and progress.’
