WINNER: CARRINGTON WEST HIGHLY COMMENDED: CITRUS FM
THE Training Programme of the Year winners returned to the stage to receive the award for Large Business of the Year.
Carrington West is a previous Start-up of the Year winner, so the achievement of receiving this award also celebrates the enduring nature of the Business Excellence Awards.
The home-grown company continues to find success and grows year upon year, whilst maintaining a strong focus on the training and wellbeing of its staff.
Co-founder Simon Gardiner said: ‘It’s a real honour, unbelievable.
‘We’ve been on a real journey with these awards. In 2013 we won Start-up of the Year, then Small, then Medium and it’s just nice to reach the last hurdle.’
HR manager Emily Christmas said: ‘It’s incredible, absolutely amazing to be recognised in the local area, I’m a bit speechless.
‘We’re a massively close team, such a family-orientated and friendly business.
‘We’re very much on the same wavelength and reaching for the same goals. We’re very peoplefirst, it’s all about the people and we do everything for them.’
A highly commended was also awarded in this category and this went to Citrus FM.
