Tax rebates being rolled out in town

COUNCIL tax rebates have started being issued across Fareham, according to the borough council.

As per the government’s plan, council tax rebates of £150 are being handed out to everyone within bands A-D.

Fareham Borough Council confirmed it has begun paying this rebate out to those who pay their council tax by direct debit, with 27,000 payments set to be made over the next few weeks.

Where the borough council does not hold residents’ bank account details, the council tax payer will be contacted by post to request this information, which can be given to the council online.
