You have to admire the way Disney gets you and keeps you

Previously I have bemoaned the fact that the Marvel movies and TV shows have begun to feel like homework. You need to have watched this film, that series, read this blog post before you can understand Super Ant 12.

And yet I dragged myself to the cinema on Friday after the elections out of some crippling sense of ‘FOMO’.

Despite all my grumblings, I resent the feeling of having ‘fallen behind’ and risk visiting my favourite websites while being out of the loop - or worse, stumble into spoilers.

I suppose it’s a sign Disney has successfully weaponised the Fear Of Missing Out to get me to hand over my cash. It might be a tad Dystopian, but you have to admire it.
