Right royal salad days for the Queen
There’s been a condiment callout for the excitement of the Queen’s Jubilee.
Food giant Heinz has released a royal makeover of two of its products to hit the milestone of the Queen’s Jubilee.
It is releasing limited edition bottles of ‘HM Sauce’ and ‘Salad Queen’ to mark her majesty’s 70 years on the throne. They will ready for all the parties, picnics and overflowing sandwiches that we will be royally stuffing ourselves with come June.
After you have scooped out the contents the bottle could serve as an unusual souvenir to mark the occasion.
It seems odd but considering how richly British these condiments are, it makes perfect sense.
But is this just another marketing scheme to sell bottles and make profit? Would you genuinely buy a bottle to put alongside your Jubilee plates or does it reek of desperation?
Pioneering or pandering, what do you think of the saucy rebrands?
