Don’t fudge it – support small shops

All Things Sweet in Ryde on the Isle of Wight may seem a little too far to travel to obtain hand-made fudge. However, we made it a must visit for your journey across the water. The pastel pink store with its welcoming waft of oozing flavours had us drifting inside searching for sweet promises.

The owner was more than willing for us to try as many flavours as we wanted in order to make an informed decision.

One of our favourites, the garishly flamingo pink but mouthmeltingly delicious, was the bubble gum-favoured fudge.

There is really something very special in trying something homemade from a local business.

Now that shops have re-opened after Covid it is vitally important that we do not neglect the little guys who managed to hold out during the toughest times imaginable.
