Going nowhere

Yet another home defeat and it appear s Pompey are going nowhere.

Endless waffle in the back pages of The News but a team with maybe 4 exceptions simply lacking the class, quality, whatever it I takes to reach the Championship.

This squad judging this season (and the only way it can be judged) appears scarily inadequate.

The only expensive

(by Div one standards) purchases have failed and now “out the door”.

Fair to add that “buying talent” is a not a precise art, Man u with all their billions have and continue to make even this season fabulously expensive mistakes.

Soccer success is an imprecise art and despite by Div one standards a large stadium, superb playing surface and fabulous support that vital step into the “big time – the Championship for starters.

A succession of Managers have achieved little except promotion from Div 2 and I suspect that only serious money laced with mega luck that those purchases succeed will take us forward. Despite quality owners, brilliant Stadium and

“the very best support” stalemate reigns.
