It was probably best that we didn’t win

-

I bet Eurovision parties last Saturday night were the best in living memory!

How exciting for the United Kingdom to win the judges vote, to be in the lead for so long.

I bet the excitement was at fever pitch at these ‘do’s’. Understandably the public vote gave it to Ukraine and even Sam Ryder said he didn’t really want to win and it wouldn’t feel right. He kind of did though.

Space Man is an excellent song and he is a superb singer.

One of my friends who went to one of these parties explained to me the atmosphere.

He said, being a non-football fan, this is what it must feel like for England to come second in the World Cup?

Hmm, I understand his point, but the memory of the last tournament and yet another terrible, nail-biting penalty shootout drama that set our stress levels rising to boiling point I’m not so sure I can agree.

I was in tears after Euro 2020!
