Be ready for bluesman Guy’s gig
Acclaimed US bluesman Guy Davis plays Chidham Village Hall on Sunday, May 22.
He has been nominated for a prestigious Grammy Award twice – for the Best Traditional Blues Album.
He lost out to The Rolling Stones in 2018, and this year his Be Ready When I call You, lost out to Cedric Burnside’s I Be Trying.
Over the years he's been a frequent visitor to the Chichester area appearing at Blues on the Farm, and Chichester Festival Theatre with his great friend Eric Bibb.
Like many other musicians Covid put paid to his live performances so he went online and broadcast regular concerts from his New York apartment.
His work as an actor, author, and music teacher earmark him as a renaissance man of the blues.
Guy's Chidham show is one of a handful of UK dates he's playing as part of a two month European tour.
The concert starts at 8pm and tickets are available on the door.
