Study reveals burglary rates falling

NEW data shows burglary rates across the city have dropped by more than three per cent on average each year compared to 2017.

The report comes from the latest study from Confused. com. The research analysed burglary data provided by police forces across the UK between 2017 and 2021 to identify the safest places to live across the UK.

Portsmouth placed 276th out of 345 areas with an average of 3.65 thefts per 1,000 people last year. The UK average was 2.60 thefts per 1,000 people.
