1992 - Committed performance

The Commitments - a film about an upcoming Irish soul band , based on a book by Roddy Doyle and directed by Alan Parker - was voted winner in the Best Soundtrack category at the Brit Awards. It also won BAFTAs for Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing.
