Varghese stars with bat and ball in Challengers success
Binish Varghese was the undoubted man of the match with a superb allround display as Solent Challengers defeated Purbrook 2nds in Division 4 South of the Hampshire League.
Having entered the game with HL best bowling figures of 3-15, he tore through the Kerala top order to finish with 6-31.
Ijaz Tarakhail joint top scored with 36 - there were also the same amount of extras - as Kerala reached 153 all out.

Raftery was the first to go, having scored 102, with Stephenson going to hit 122 in a team total of 309-4. Sparsholt were bowled out for 180 in reply.
Spare a thought for Ferndown skipper Eric Linge. Having waited for so long to get a bat, he came in at No 3 and was promptly dismissed first ball!
