Indiana State Police executed a search warrant Friday morning at the Lakes of the Four Seasons security department, a spokeswoman said.

“The investigation was forwarded to the state police from the Indiana Attorney General’s Office and involves violations related to controlled substances, impersonation of public servants, criminal confinement and other potential criminal offenses related to traffic stops,” Sgt. Ann Wojas said in a news release.

Wojas said it was an “ongoing investigation involving multiple allegations.”

“There will be no further information provided on the investigation at this time,” Wojas said.

The Indiana Department of Transportation recently revoked the Lakes of the Four Seasons security department’s emergency vehicle designation after finding the department used improper lights.

“The vehicle designation from INDOT requires that you use yellow and white lights. They were using red and blue,” Adam Parkhouse, INDOT spokesman, said.

Multiple agencies began investigating Lakes of the Four Seasons after the Indiana Attorney General’s Office received a complaint about emergency vehicles, Parkhouse said.

Indiana State Police then notified INDOT, since INDOT has the authority to designate emergency vehicles, of the investigation, according to Parkhouse. State police assisted INDOT with the investigation, he said.

Melissa Gustafson, an Attorney General’s Office spokeswoman, previously said, “We cannot confirm that we have received a complaint or that we have investigated or are investigating Lakes of Four Seasons.”

A post Oct. 24 on the official Lakes of the Four Seasons Information pages states “we are stunned” by the revocation by INDOT.

“One of the greatest assets of our Public Safety Department is their quick response to emergency situations. We will continue to serve, but this may have to be done with amber lighting (a yellow colored light) instead of what we have been accustomed to (red and blue),” the post states.
