Tefal Ingenio stacking cookware

- Ben Meakins

Pots and pans take up an inordinate amount of room on board. These Tefal Ingenio pans have a detachable handle which Tefal says makes them take up 40% less room than regular pots and pans. The pans also come with plastic lids for storage of leftovers. We tried some. The stainless steel milk and saucepans pans fit inside the non-stick frying pan, and a clever clamp handle fits all of them in turn. The plastic lids work well and are a secure way to stop spillages when the pans are cold. They’re pricey but are excellent quality and take up much less space on board than regular crockery. The glass lids fit well and have rubberised edges – again good for a small boat.
