SUCCESSFUL LARGS REGATTA FESTIVAL

More than 300 sailors took part in the inaugural three-day Largs Regatta Festival. The highlights included the figure-of-eight course around the islands of Cumbrae and Wee Cumbrae which saw more than 100 boats crossing the finish line. Excalibur, sailed by Brian Young, was awarded Yacht of the Festival. The event raised £1,500 for the RNLI and £300 for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
