Ultra-quiet dehumidifier
Dehumidifiers are great for helping to keep the interior of a boat dry during the autumn and winter months. This is especially true for vessels that are not kept on a swinging mooring, where good ventilation is easy to set up as the boat will inevitably spend long periods lying more or less head to wind, even in tidal waters.
However, many dehumidifiers are noisy, which is an issue if you’re spending more than a few hours on board. Arguably it’s when you’re on board that the dehumidifier is most needed – everyday activities, including cooking, making cups of tea and even breathing all add to the moisture vapour in the air.
The MeacoDry ABC range is Meaco’s quietest ever dehumidifier product line, with noise levels of 35dB – roughly the same as a small computer fan. It’s available in
10- and 12-litre sizes.
Both benefit from low power consumption and have cleanable dust filters, variable humidistats and 2.6 litre drainage tanks.
