NEW HOME FOR NCI AT HENGISTBURY HEAD
A new National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) lookout has been established overlooking Christchurch and Poole Bays. NCI volunteers with Hengistbury Head have moved into the disused HM Coastguard station at Warren Hill, which also overlooks the adjacent Christchurch Harbour. The team had been in a temporary lookout.
Commenting on the move, the acting station manager, Brian Roberts said: “Well done to all who helped with the transformation. We really couldn’t have done it without you!”
