The return of powerboat racing

The Windermere Motorboat Racing Club moved its racing programme to Ramsden Dock, Barrow in Furness, after the 10-knot speed limit came into force, but there is an allowance in the byelaws for exemptions to the limit. Windermere saw the return of racing for two race days in 2013 and most recently there were three in 2018 and plans afoot to request a fourth. Racing takes place outside the WMBRC clubhouse south of Bowness.
