CCTV FOR EMSWORTH
Antisocial behaviour, an attempted break-in, arson, theft and the illegal use of dinghies at Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club have resulted in CCTV being installed by the Chichester Harbour Conservancy.
Patrols by conservancy staff have also been increased and body-worn cameras are being trialled. A gate, signage and an alarm system have been installed on the jetty.
Both the conservancy and the sailing club are working with the police and the wider community on crime prevention measures.
Commenting, the director and harbour master of the conservancy, Richard Craven said: ‘The introduction of a CCTV system will be beneficial to both our organisations and will allow us to monitor areas of concern for the conservancy.’
