Preparation: creating rounded corners

1 We made rounded corners for the outside of the heads compartment using a quadrant cut from plastic drain pipe. We fixed it into place using Sikaflex to bond it to the woodwork, using tape to keep it in position until the Sikaflex had cured. 2 Once the pipe is firmly adhered a layer of resin and mat is applied over the top to doubly ensure there can be no movement. 3 The mat/resin layer is rolled to ensure a proper bond and to expel air and excess resin in the normal manner and then left to cure overnight.
