Wild Eyes wreckage found

Abby Sunderland’s yacht Wild Eyes, last sailed by the sailor during her failed record attempt to become the youngest person to circumnavigate the world, has been discovered off South Australia. Sunderland was 16 when she was forced to abandon the Open 40 after a dismasting in the middle of the Indian Ocean in June 2010. The yacht was discovered on New Year’s Eve 2018 floating off the coast of Kangaroo Island by the pilot of a tuna spotting plane.
