In the footsteps of GGR skippers

South Coast-based sailing school, Rubicon 3 has joined forces with the Golden Globe Race to teach 10 amateur sailors to cross the Atlantic using just the sun to navigate.

No previous experience is necessary and celestial navigation training will be provided. The co-founder of Rubicon 3, Rachael Sprot, said suitable candidates needed to have the ‘right mindset and a decent sense of humour when we haven’t see the sun for three days!’ More information is available at rubicon3.co.uk
