ML1051 Rodos Built by Morgan Giles in Teignmouth, Devon, and launched 10/2/41, she was transported to Suez and served with the 102nd ML Flotilla out of Alexandria. As Portaria, she served with the Greek Navy until 1961 when she became a houseboat based in Almaria. ML1184 Paea
Formerly NZ fisheries patrol vessel P3552, Paea was built by Madden & Lewis in California and commissioned in 1943. She is currently for sale.
ML1301 Gibel Tarik
Launched 6/4/43 by Blackmore at Bideford, Devon, she was involved in operations at Sicily, Salerno, and with the invasion of Elba. Now at the mechanical heritage museum, Dronten, the Netherlands.
ML1414 Aisha
Built by Berthon, Lymington, and launched in April 1944, she operated in the Med and was sold from service in 1946 becoming the motor yacht Aisha. She was last heard of ashore in Sardinia.
ML1494 Woodpecker
Work started on her build at RA Newman, Poole, in 1944 and at war’s end was eventually completed in 1948 to a design by Laurent Giles. She’s now a private vessel operating in the Mediterranean.
