Attending Charter Shows in the Med and Caribbean annually, Lizzie Abbiss, the Charter Sales Director, views as many yachts as she can; meeting the crews and sampling the menus meaning her recommendations are based upon a wealth of first-hand experience.
The most popular areas in the Mediterranean are the Ionian Islands in Greece, Sardinia & Corsica, the Balearic Islands; Majorca, Ibiza & Menorca, Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. This year has also seen a growing enthusiasm for Turkey, with client interest steadily increasing once again.
An initial inclination to shy away from having a crew is frequently overridden by immense appreciation of their hospitality and rich knowledge of the yacht and location, perfecting the onboard experience for every member of the family or group without limiting your ability to take the helm while sailing. A full time crew significantly improves the quality of the vessel and amenities; with water makers, air-conditioning, water-sports equipment all included in the yacht price. Food and drinks are an extra, charged in a per person package or by way of an Advance Provisioning Allowance, allowing the crew to provision the yacht for your
requirements before you even step off the plane.
Every charter is different; the start and finish ports may be the same but what happens between that time is always flexible and full of as much variety as is desired. If you seek towns and nightlife or crave secluded peaceful bays, the available options allow for a tailor-made luxury experience - the only thing they can’t control is the weather! What’s more, your experienced captain will ensure yours’ and the vessel’s safety is their top priority.

Founded by Matt & Lizzie Abbiss in 2001, diYachting is a British company which utilises years of experience spent working as crew on yachts of this size. diYachting now offers management and charter solutions for luxury yachts from 60 to 100ft and arranges crewed charter holidays for over 40 happy customers per year.
