Since we registered our name in 1987, many have tried to imitate us, but nobody has managed to equal our style of wonderful one and two week flotilla sailing holidays.
After more than forty years, we have evolved sailing holidays around the Greek Islands into something very special. They are guided by our trained lead crews and have become a classic way to gain some sailing experience whilst also enjoying a holiday.
We provide the dream of relaxed sailing in the most amenable area in the world. The Greek Islands possess an unrivalled charm and will always hold a place in your heart. The fresh seafood and salads are the most healthy imaginable, although there are delicious unhealthy options available too!
Sailing Holidays Ltd is unique as we specialise in flotilla sailing holidays on our own yachts. Flotilla sailing offers the opportunity for practical people who are reasonably active, to ‘have a go at sailing’ without being in a classroom environment. We also have an RYA training division in Greece for those wishing to gain formal qualifications.
Some people do a week’s training followed by a relaxed flotilla. Others enjoy a flotilla, then relax ashore for a week in a hotel or villa by the sea. The choice is yours! It is difficult to put the atmosphere engendered by the holidays into words. They are certainly a brilliant way to meet others of similar inclination.
During the school holidays, it is almost entirely families and children bring a special energy to those periods. Individuals are able to come out on our share-a-yacht scheme. We cater for all experience levels, from beginners to experienced sailors, by offering flotilla routes in three areas of Greece.

The company also operates a Yacht Charter Division which has three separate sections. It caters for those with specific requirements, such as larger yachts, giving sailors an opportunity to take a bareboat on their own. It also offers the chance to explore different areas in Greece like the Dodecanese or Cyclades. For those in search of something further afield we organise charters in Croatia, Turkey, Spain and Italy.
Another popular choice is ‘Skippered Charter’ which means having a paid skipper on board. An advantage of this option is being able to enjoy his or her local knowledge and really ‘get away from it all.’
Finally, we can arrange Luxury Yacht Charter that takes place on larger yachts, catamarans, or motor yachts. This is crewed charter where you don’t need to get involved with the sailing and get pampered by a hostess aboard. Obviously, this costs a bit more, but the memory will last a lifetime.
