ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Marine biologist Belinda Chesman and partner Kit McAllister sailed the south coast of England and northern France for years in a Contessa 32 before purchasing Quilcene, their cutter rigged Bowman 40 in 2007. They left Plymouth and cruised the Med, Canary and Cape Verde islands before crossing the Atlantic to South America in 2014. They cruised the Caribbean and Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Cuba, East coast USA and into Canada. Quilcene is currently on Prince Edward Island.
