1 New England Bay Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
This remote site is on the shore of Luce Bay, with direct access to a beautiful sandy beach. The site itself has been carefully landscaped to blend with the surrounding area, so pitches are separated into seven areas, giving extra privacy. There is also a late arrivals area, so there’s no need to worry if you’re running late.
You can expect clean, well-kept facilities including disabled and baby-changing facilities, a family washroom, washing-up areas, a launderette and Wi-fi. There’s also a games room and children’s playground, to keep the little ones happy when they’re not playing on the beach. It is also an ideal site for fishing, watersports and sailing.
The Galloway Coast Path runs alongside the campsite, from which you can explore the plentiful wildlife of this unspoilt peninsula. Nearby Luce Sands is a Special Area for Conservation, with a spectacular dune system and a huge expanse of beach when the tide is low.
There are plenty of things to see and do nearby, including the RSPB visitor centre and Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, Logan Botanic Garden (www.rbge.org.uk/thegardens/logan) with a collection of plants from the southern hemisphere, the town of Stranraer and Port Patrick, to name a few.
