Nissan X-trail 2.2 dci

Mine is a 2006 Aventura and it tows my caravan with no effort at all. I only have to use the four-wheel drive setting at junctions on steep hills. I’ve been towing for 30 years plus and the X-trail is one of the best cars I have had because it gives confidence in all situations. The car averages 26mpg towing on A-roads.

My car had no problems towing a Bailey Orion 530/6 on an 1100-mile round trip to Devon. It has also towed my caravan from Scotland to Longleat and back, then to Thorpe Park and back. I’ve done more than 2100 miles this year with no issues at all – it’s a great combination. Kenny

I have a 2003 model and I love it. It has made towing my Bailey Pageant Bretagne

Series 6 an absolute joy. I can’t see myself having anything else.

The X-trail tows my Sterling Eccles Elite very well. The van’s twin axle helps the whole thing feel very stable, even in windy conditions. The X-trail cruises at 60mph in sixth gear and returns 24mpg in a 50:50 mix of motorway and A-road driving, which I consider very respectable. Richard
