2002 Abbey GTS Vogue 215
The Abbey GTS range is an excellent line-up of well-equipped tourers. GRP sides had emerged by 2002, along with the distinctive profile that looks very pleasing to the eye.
Under Swift, from 1993, Abbeys had a real popularity boost, and the new Swift-built models sold well. For couples on a tight budget, the GTS 215 could be ideal.
The 16-year-old Abbey, although its quite distinctive styling shows its age, certainly looked as though it had many more years of touring left in it.
The interior was spot-on and the Abbey looked excellent value for the window sticker price. But it’s up against a quality luxury brand in Buccaneer, and one of the last original coachbuilt models.
The Abbey’s layout – end washroom, front lounge and side kitchen – follows that of the Buccaneer, although it is shorter in length.
