3 Fourwinds Campsite
Pitch up near the charming market town of March, in the Fenlands, and you could have fantastic outdoor adventures. Not only is this a very pretty campsite, but it also offers visitors fishing, archery and canoeing – the best way to explore the unusual marshes and waterways of the Fens. The site backs on to the Old River Nene, which provides the perfect backdrop for a holiday in Cambridgeshire. You can fish from the private mooring, hire a canoe or kayak on a two-hour, halfday or full-day basis to launch from it, or just admire the views. The campsite is also on a public footpath and just off a National Cycle Route. And if you want to try your hand at archery, you can arrange a taster session with an experienced instructor. The five-caravan CS is on a level field with hardstandings, and some of the pitches have fire pits that you can request when you make your booking. The on-site facilities consist of two heated showers (operated on a token system), toilets, washing-up sinks, a chemical disposal point and Wi-fi. Guests can even join those staying in the B&B for a tasty breakfast, or order takeaway bacon and sausage butties. There are plenty of shops and pubs in March town centre for your other food and drink needs.
