Fright night

It’s that time of year when kids like to dress up in ghoulish garb and go trick or treating; imagine the spine-tingling experience if they are doing it by gaslight. On 27 October, Blists Hill Victorian Town at the Ironbridge Gorge will hold its Ghostly Gaslight Night, with mutant Victorians wandering the streets among vampires and werewolves. The streets will have food and drink, a frightening fairground and pyrotechnics. The event runs between 6pm and 9pm and tickets must be purchased online in advance. Remember to bring a torch.
